I am fortunate enough to have the BEST coworkers. I know my "first year teacher" plans for their community felt crazy at first, but now we are stronger than ever. It's never a question of IF the special education classes will be joining, it's HOW will everyone be joining. This took a lot of conversations in the staff room and persuading of some teachers to convince them inclusion is good for all students, but look at us now. The journey to include my students in their community took a lot of help from my coworkers. Which means I also had to include myself in my school's community.
